Qualification in Details:

1. Clerk of Works(Electrical) on contract basis (one vacancy)

2. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering in first class with 60% marks from a recognized university with 2 years of experience in the field of Electrical Engineering from a reputed firm. The condition of First Class will not apply for SC/ST candidates. They require second class with 55% marks. OR 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution with 5 years of experience in the field of Electrical Engineering.

3. Nature of Employment : Fixed Term Contract.

4. Period of contract : Contractual engagement initially will be for a period of 3 years.

5. Pay : Selected candidates will be paid total emoluments of Rs.28,000/- (Rupees Twenty eight thousand only) per month. The post also carries other benefits such as increment, leave and medical as applicable. The candidates will not have any claim or preference in the matter of employment in Air India Limited or its subsidiary companies by virtue of this contract.

Apply Procedure

1. Candidates who wish to apply are advised to send their application in the prescribed format along with a set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates of Educational Qualification, Experience, Date of birth, Caste and other related documents and a recent passport size colour photograph duly pasted on the application. Along with the application form candidate should attach a Demand Draft of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) (not applicable for SC/ST/ExServicemen) in favour of “Air India Limited” payable at Chennai. The application should reach on or before 31.07.2019 at the address mentioned below :- General Manager-Personnel Southern Region, Air India Ltd., Airlines House, Meenambakkam, St.Thomas Mount Post Office, Chennai-600 016.
2. The envelope should be superscribed as “application for the post of clerk of works(electrical) on fixed term contract basis at chennai.
3. For candidates belonging to OBC category, the category certificate should be in the prescribed format including the “Non-Creamy layer clause” issued by the Competent Authority for employment under Government of India and should be as per the Central list of OBC’s published by the Govt. of India. Please also note that the validity of “Non-Creamy layer” Certificate should not be older than 6(Six) months from the date of eligibility criteria.
4. For candidates belonging to EWS category, the category certificate as prescribed by Central Government should be submitted. However, their selection will be subject to the outcome of the litigations presently pending with various courts in the country.
5. Candidates currently employed with any of the subsidiaries of Air India Ltd., are not eligible to apply, unless they have tendered their resignation and obtained Release Certificate from the subsidiary. Similarly, candidates employed with Govt / Semi-Govt / Quasi Govt / PSUs are required to furnish No Objection Certificate from their present employer for appearing for the written test.
6. The applicant / candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria, as on 1st July, 2019, and that the particulars furnished by them in the Application Form are correct in all respects. At any stage of the Selection Process or thereafter, if the particulars provided by the candidates in the Application or testimonials submitted are found incorrect / false, or not meeting with the eligibility requirements prescribed for the post, the candidature is liable to be rejected and, if appointed, services terminated, without giving any notice or reasons thereof.
7. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidate or bringing political or other outside influence, with regard to their engagement / selection shall be considered a Disqualification.
